Are you looking for a new place to call home or venturing into investments and want to have the perfect property that will surely be your money’s worth? Swimming pools have always been a key feature of any condo project. They promote health and wellness, aside from the fact that it is really fun to have one. That’s why many developers go the extra mile just to give their residents swimming pools that are one of a kind. Here are 10 of those swimming pools we deem to be truly superb.
Century Properties’ premiere development in Bonifacio Global City, Essensa Private Residences is a twin-tower condo project known for its huge, high-ceilinged units with gourmet kitchens and celebrity residents. But what make this condo really tick are its swimming pools: an indoor heated lap pool, perfect for those who don’t want to get under the sun, and an outdoor pool surrounded by tall trees and with a modern lounge.
Comprising five high-rise towers on a 3.5-hectare land, Rockwell Land's The Proscenium situated in Rockwell Center will welcome its new residents as early as 2018. Aside from its 600-seater theater, The Proscenium will boast not one but several swimming pools that are surrounded by lush greens and manicured gardens for their residents’ fun and relaxation, giving a resort-like vibe to this high-end residential estate.
Completed in 2000, Ayala Land's One Roxas Triangle is one of Makati City’s most luxurious condos. Standing at around 572 feet high, it is also the country’s 15th tallest completed building. Its very resort-like pool area is dotted with palm trees and has a pool for adult swimmers and one for children. The lap pool has panels where residents can sit while dipping their feet in the water and little island trees for some shade from the heat of the sun.
Developed by DMCI, Verawood Residences is a resort-style, Polynesian-inspired community situated within the Acacia Estates in Taguig City. True to its inspiration, Verawood Residences has three pools beside their open lawn or picnic area. One pool is for the kids, which has lounge chairs at the shallow end; another is the lap pool; and the last is a lounge pool for those who opt to just wade in the water.
The Lerato in Makati City is a three-tower condominium project by Ayala subsidiary Alveo Land. In the middle of these three towers is the pool area where a kiddie pool, a leisure pool, and a 25-sqm lap pool can be found. It has a garden ambiance with its green-themed spaces and gardens around it.
The Pacific Plaza Towers, the twin 52-story skyscrapers in Bonifacio Global City by Metro Pacific Investments, is home to a fun and interactive pool area. The pool area consists of an Olympic-size pool, a kiddie pool, wading pool, non-swimmers’ cove, and even a spa. It has a fun mini-bridge to access the kiddie pool while palm trees dot the entire pool area.
Megaworld's seven-tower Venice Residences in McKinley Hill offers its residents a European-style estate that’s quite a rarity in Metro Manila. True to its name, its swimming pool complex exudes an Italian vibe with its exterior decorations and design. It has a grand pool, a children’s pool, a spa, and even a Jacuzzi that can be enjoyed in this Venice-inspired residential community.
Tivoli Garden Residences by DMCI, situated in Mandaluyong City (just across the Pasig River from Makati), offers not just a comfortable residence but also a fun one. Their pool area located in the middle of the complex offers more than just relaxation. They have three pools: a kiddie pool, a leisure pool and an Olympic-size lap pool, while water jets make these pools more interactive and fun, especially for kids. There is also a pool deck for those who choose to just wade in the pool.
Another high-rise residential condo in Makati City is Gramercy Residences, a high-end luxury project by Century Properties that offers fully furnished units. Located on the 32nd floor is an infinity pool that lets their residents enjoy a view of Metro Manila’s ever evolving skyline. Pool lounges and comfy covered chairs are available for those who are looking for a place to sunbathe or simply relax.
This groundbreaking Century project in Parañaque City, Azure Urban Resort Residences—endorsed by none other than Paris Hilton—is a nine-tower resort-like residential complex. But the true highlight of this condo estate is its man-made beach complete with waves and white sand (shipped from Balesin Island in Quezon), so there will no need for residents to travel to Boracay just to get their tropical-island fix. But if white-sand beaches are not your thing, there’s a 25-meter infinity lap pool which flows down to the coves below.
Federal Land’s SixSenses Residences, a high-rise condo located in the up-and-coming Bay City, claims to possess every element that will stimulate all the senses through a playful design and long list of amenities. But there is one particular feature that might have them adding “fun” as a seventh sense: the adult swimming pool, which was set right at the edge of the condo’s amenity deck, and accented with a Jacuzzi and a pool bar. Completing the water fun is a kids’ pool, a beach volleyball court, massage huts and enough trees to put anyone on vacation mode.
Rockwell Land’s The Grove prides itself in being a “relaxing patch of greenery in the middle of the bustling city,” marked by the Great Lawn, which was built specifically for outdoor activities like exercising, jogging, strolling, and playing outdoor games. Supporting their claim to provide a relaxing respite is another amenity that should excite any water lover: ia 733-sqm main pool that is located at The Grove's Amenity Deck; and flanked by kiddie and leisure pools, several lounge chairs, and tall trees.
The 2.1-hectare Shell Residences is just one of the many SMDC condos rising within the Mall of Asia (MOA) Complex. Its location close to Manila Bay is echoed in its moniker, though Shell took it one step further by imprinting a shell-like design onto the building facade and the amenities. Right in the middle of the property and surrounded by trees and gazebos are two large swimming pools fanned out in the shape of—you guessed it—shells.
Located along the Ortigas Avenue Extension is the only medium-rise residential condo in the area, Filinvest Land’s One Oasis Ortigas. But this is not the only claim to fame of the development. As its name implies, One Oasis offers resort-like amenities occupying over half of the property. One of these recreational facilities is the pool area, where a lap pool connected to adult and kiddie swimming pools is surrounded by lush greenery.
Due to its many water features, one might consider Empire East Land Holdings’ six-tower Kasara Urban Resort Residences an actual water world. Located at the fourth floor of two towers are artificial waterfalls cascading down a lake-inspired pool at the ground level in the middle of the community. The “lake” feels even more like a hidden water paradise due to the surrounding trees, river boulders, and wooden walkways. Aside from these, Kasara also has other artificial water attractions like ponds, spring fountains, and bubble splashers.
Found within Bonifacio Global City is Megaworld’s Bellagio, a condo community that the developer has labelled “the hallmark of opulence” due to its location within the prominent Forbes Town Center and optimal view of the Manila Golf Course. One might say it is lavish three times over; not only are there three luxurious residential towers, each tower also has its own swimming pool. Echoing the ritzy appeal of The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, Bellagio I and II have a horizon-edge pool with in-pool lounge, while Bellagio III has a white sand beach pool complex.
One of the standout condos in the Pasay City area is SMDC’s Shore Residences, and not just because of its proximity to one of the biggest malls in the country, SM Mall of Asia (MOA). Shore boasts of not just one but two swimming pool complexes, where an “island” is surrounded by a beach-like kids’ pool, a lap pool, several adult pools, and rocky waterfalls with a water slide. Trees, open green spaces, and various play areas complete the feeling of being on a holiday.
Robinsons Residences’ The Radiance has a 50-meter lap pool at the Sky Lounge, where lounge chairs await those who are just coming out of the pool. The Sky Lounge also has a playground for little kids, as well as chairs and tables for friends and families wanting to hang out. But the best part about The Radiance’s pool is that it faces the Manila Bay so people can enjoy its world-renowned sunset as they lazily float around on the pool.
With a name like Botanika Nature Residences, one would expect Filinvest Land’s development to be lush and eco-friendly, and one would be right. Botanika proudly exemplifies green living, and does so by creating an atmosphere that reflects nature, particularly in their amenities. The tiered kiddie and lap pools are surrounded by full shrubs and tall trees, making you feel like you are one with nature indeed.
Alveo Land’s Two Serendra Is a community in Bonifacio Global City that combines low-, medium-, and high-rise condo buildings. Offering suburban living in the middle of a busy city, the entire development is blanketed with a rich, green landscape and accented with outdoor elements like a tropical garden, tree house, forest walkway and hanging bridge. Best of all, one would be reminded of a water park when they see that each building has a swimming pool, whether for taking laps, lounging, or splashing around with kids.
