AkzoNobel, global paint and coatings company and manufacturer of the Dulux brand of decorative paints, earlier this month launched Dulux Professional, designed to be a “one-stop solution” for the coating needs of trade professionals such as architects, contractors, and interior designers.
“Recognized as one of the leading brands, Dulux—the decorative paints brand manufactured by AkzoNobel—is equipped with an extensive knowledge of sector specifications and regulations around the region. We are pleased to bring this one-stop solution of coatings needs for the projects and construction industry,” AkzoNobel Decorative Paints, South East & South Asia, Middle East Managing Director Jeremy Rowe said.
The Dulux Professional portfolio contains 45 products, each designed to cover specific surfaces and customizable to match the customer’s requirements and budget. And in a move toward sustainability, several products under the Dulux Professional name are also formulated for enhanced durability, minimizing the need for frequent maintenance.
“Enhancing customers’ resource efficiency is one way AkzoNobel, through Dulux Professional, is able to do more with less. The brand is committed to Planet Possible, a global initiative of AkzoNobel to create a brighter vision for the future by driving innovation and delivering more value from fewer resources. Sustainability is at the core of AkzoNobel’s business strategy; we use sustainable innovations and sustainable technologies to meet the growing demand of our fast changing planet, while making life easier,” Rowe explained.
According to AkzoNobel Decorative Paints Southeast Asia & Pacific Cluster Leader Jun de Dios, the launch of Dulux Professional is a way for the brand to foster partnerships with trade professionals in the Philippines, saying “We closely work with two local distributors who have undergone intensive specification and color training, which enables them to provide valuable coatings advice on solutions for the commercial, education, healthcare, repainting, residential, and leisure sectors.”
AkzoNobel also announced the Philippine release of Dulux Ambiance Special Effects Paint, said to be a solution to wall decoration needs of homeowners. Among the featured finishes and textures under the line are Linen, Marble, Metallic, Velvet, and ColourMotion, all designed to “bring a unique touch and feel to home walls.”
“Dulux Ambiance™ Special Effects Paint brings personalization of living spaces to a really exciting level as it allows today’s homeowners with a good sense of personal style and individual aesthetics to add personality, creativity and uniqueness to their home décor,” Rowe noted.
Dulux Professionals, according to de Dios, came to the Philippines in such a time when the country has seen much growth in the property industry.
“In the past few years, the paint market in the Philippines has enjoyed an average growth of between 5 and 10 percent. The construction industry has continuously seen new projects on the rise. We are, therefore, very happy to introduce the Dulux Professional portfolio to architects, contractors, interior designers and other trade professionals in the Philippines at this opportune time, to meet their various needs of paints and coatings,” he stated.
