Megaworld Corporation is teaming up with subsidiary Global Estate Resorts, Inc. (GERI) to launch Alabang Estates, a 62-hectare Hollywood-inspired township along Daang Hari Road in Muntinlupa City. The property giant’s 15th township, their first in Alabang, aims to bring the district’s already posh reputation to new heights by paying homage to the classy town of Beverly Hills.
“We envision this development to be the next big thing in Alabang,” Megaworld senior vice president Jericho P. Go said of the Php 10-billion township, which will be built over a five-year period.
The highlight of the planned township is a 1.3-kilometer stretch of commercial and retail shops to be called Rodeo Drive. Explaining why they took the name of the iconic Hollywood street, Go simply said, “If we can do the same for The Venice Piazza, why not?” The Venice Piazza is a dining area in the European-inspired BGC township McKinley Hill.
Aside from being lined with palm trees much like its namesake, Alabang West’s Rodeo Drive will also be mirroring the famous road by housing only high-end labels and businesses. While Go didn’t specify which retail companies will be setting up shop in Rodeo Drive, he hinted that these will include luxury brands seen in many of Megaworld’s lifestyle malls, as well as names that aren’t currently in the Philippines.
Next to Rodeo Drive will be Alabang West Village, a horizontal residential development. Composed of 788 lots ranging in size from 250 to 800 square meters, it will take up roughly 3/4 of the entire township.
“Alabang West Village will be a posh neighborhood that is distinctly ‘Alabang’, inspired by the glitz and glamour of Hollywood’s Beverly Hills,” Megaworld Global Estate, Inc. sales and marketing vice president Rachelle Peñaflorida explained. “This is a perfect haven to those seeking the cosmopolitan vibe away from the hustle and bustle of Metro Manila.”
Megaworld revealed that prices will start at Php 48,000/sqm, which means a 250-sqm lot will sell for Php 12 million. They shared several payment options through which buyers can avail of lots, such as 36 months at 0% interest and as low as 10% down payment.
According to the developer, 150 to 160 lots have already been reserved in the residential village, which is set to be completed by the end of 2017. Many of the reservations, they disclosed, come from repeat buyers who have already purchased properties from Megaworld.
A 6,800-sqm part of the village will contain a clubhouse complex housing amenities like badminton and basketball courts, function rooms, cabanas, game room, café and al fresco dining areas, fitness centers, pocket gardens, open space parks and an infinity pool.
