PRO-FRIENDS offers the gift of giving through various CSR and family activities.
For December, Property Company of Friends, Inc. (PRO-FRIENDS) is taking time to cater to their growing community by providing various activities for their residents, as well as fulfilling their corporate social responsibilities to the less fortunate.
Just recently, PRO-FRIENDS headed to Kanlungan ni Maria, a home for underprivileged senior citizens in Antipolo, Rizal. There, the company brought gifts, food, and entertainment to the elderly as part of their commitment to fulfill their campaign, “creating communities, transforming lives.”
“Transforming lives has no age limit. Seeing the joys in the faces of the elders is priceless,” PRO-FRIENDS executive vice president Augusto Leonardo said.
Aside from basic needs, PRO-FRIENDS also donated other essential materials to Kanlungan, including emergency lamps, electric fan, cleaning materials, and medicine.
PRO-FRIENDS also made a stop at Asilo De Molo, an elderly care center headed by the Daughters of Charity of the Philippines in Iloilo City. The outreach program for the elderly consisted of food, donations, gift-giving, and entertainment as well.
“There is an ancient saying that [goes], ‘a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.’ In this activity, we reach out and share the blessings to our elders to make them happy and remember the true spirit of Christmas. It is our way of letting them know that they are still important, special, and loved,” Leonardo explained.
At Lancaster New City in Cavite, PRO-FRIENDS is all set to welcome the holidays through a host of fun events for members of the community.
On November 28, PRO-FRIENDS launched a Christmas lights and sounds show within the community. The spectacle will be held every weekend until January 3, 2016. Coinciding with the launch of the lights and sounds show was the opening of the community’s banchetto and bazaar, where guests can sample various culinary treats and finish their Christmas shopping. The banchetto and bazaar will be open to guests until December 27.
On December 16, The Church of the Holy Family inside Lancaster New City also began the Filipino tradition of simbang gabi, which will be celebrated every day at 6 p.m. until December 24.
On December 19 and 20, an event called “Santa’s Little Surprises” will feature Santa’s elves ushering in the Yuletide season by entertaining guests and handing out gifts to children.
The Square, Lancaster New City’s first commercial-retail establishment, will be the venue for the community’s “The Sound of Christmas at The Square,” a chorale competition to be held on December 19 which will showcase the singing chops of various groups from different elementary schools in Cavite.
