Bacoor National High School teacher Annalyn Dizon went to PLDT-Smart Foundation’s “Gabay Guro Grand Gathering” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena a few months ago with little expectation. She went to the same event last year but went home empty-handed. Little did she know that this year would be different: her name was drawn during the raffle for a brand-new house and lot courtesy of real estate developer, Stateland, Inc.

Siguro ito talaga yung oras ko para manalo kasi last year nag-e-expect din ako, lahat kami, pero wala,” Dizon noted.

Owning a home has always been a plan for her, her OFW husband, and their three children. The expenses that come with that goal have constantly been put this on hold, though, making her win a dream come true for the family. “Tuwang-tuwa yung asawa ko noong binalita ko sa kanya na nanalo kami ng bahay at lupa. Pati yung mga anak ko excited ng makita yung bago naming titirhan,” she narrated.

The home, a single-attached bungalow Solo house model, is located in Stateland’s economic housing project in Laguna, the Gran Avila. Dizon recently paid a visit to the site of her new home, bringing with her her daughter, mother, sister, and niece. Present to show her around was Stateland’s first vice president for sales and marketing, Delie Chua.

“It’s so nice to fulfill yet another dream of a Filipino family to have a decent and quality home of their own. We are happy that we became an instrument of changing the lives of a Filipino family. I hope they will be happy in their new house once it will be turned over to them,” Chua said.

Dizon and her family are expected to move into their by the second quarter of 2014.
