Don Tim Development Corporation gives relocators a home away from home in cool, crisp Tagaytay.
Pegged as the destination for a home away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis thanks to its breezy, laid-back atmosphere, Tagaytay currently has a flourishing residential real estate landscape. This opportunity did not go unnoticed to Don Tim Development Corporation (DTDC), whose residential developments in this southern city would inspire terms like “staycation”, “settling down”, and “retirement”.
DTDC’s history can be traced as far back as 1961, when it started as an appliances company. After venturing into the shipping industry, they officially entered property development in 1981, focusing on projects within the confines of Cavite.
DTDC caters largely to OFWs, expats and retirees, creating modern homes and choice amenities that provide value and comfort. And by offering integrated service such as construction, marketing, financing and importation of high-grade materials, the company is able to present quality living at reasonable prices even in a prime real estate location like Tagaytay.
DTDC‘s first project is Monte Vista, an 18-hectare development along a mountain ridge and terrains overlooking lush, green forests. South Midland, their 11.3-hectare village in Silang, contains 283 lots and offers the Willow Twins two-storey duplex model home. But currently in the spotlight are two other developments that aim to make their mark in terms of class and affordability in Tagaytay: Alta Monte and Montebello.
Alta Monte: a pioneer in Tagaytay’s condo scene
Considered to be the company’s flagship project, Alta Monte is a 13-hectare development located along Magallanes Drive. While also offering house and lot units and empty lots, Alta Monte’s true claim to fame is Leisure Suites, widely regarded as the first medium-rise multi-cluster condo project in Tagaytay.
Situated at the south part of the village, Leisure Suites combines contemporary condo living with the relaxed lifestyle of the countryside. Each of Leisure Suites’ 10 clusters contains a combination of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, each of which is sold with a parking slot. Ground floor units also come with a lanai and a pocket garden, bringing residents even closer to nature. According to DTDC, there are already plans to build an additional 27 clusters to accommodate their growing client base.

Montebello: countryside living exemplified
Montebello, which translates to “beautiful mountain”, covers 15.4 hectares of land in Alfonso, Metro Tagaytay with a vast backdrop of Mt. Batulao. Directed towards balikbayans, expats, and retirees, the community is designed as a resort-type residential development that includes recreational amenities, all enveloped by the city’s cool climate and green surroundings.
Montebello’s main house model is a duplex bungalow dubbed “Lilac Twins”. Each unit covers a gross floor area of 71.80 sqm and contains two bedrooms, one bathroom, a veranda and a carport. Lots are also available to buyers who would prefer to build their homes from the ground up.
