Officially the largest city in Cavite in terms of population, Dasmariñas has been for many years a popular “bedroom community” of Metro Manila. Thousands of its residents commute and work to the capital’s business districts, which led to the huge—and still growing—number of subdivisions and gated communities in the city, elevating its economy. But more than just a place to find a house to go home to every night, Dasmariñas has matured into a first-class city, and is now home to many industries, large educational and health institutions, and plenty of leisure and commercial areas.
As one of Cavite’s fastest-growing local government units (LGUs), Dasmariñas hosts a large number of industries and businesses. The city now boasts three large industrial estates or parks; namely, First Cavite Industrial Estate in Barangay Lankaan; Dasmarinas Technopark in Barangay Paliparan I, and NHA Industrial Park in Bagong Bayan. These industrial parks and countless business establishments provide jobs to thousands of Dasmariñas residents.
Aside from these, Dasmariñas is also home to large shopping malls and big-box retailers, most notable of which include SM Prime’s SM City Dasmariñas, Ayala Land’s The District, Walter Mart Dasmariñas, Robinsons Place Dasmariñas, and many others. Most of these commercial developments are situated aling Aguinaldo Highway, from Silang to Pala-Pala Junction.
With a population of more than 650,000 (according to the 2015 Census), 75 barangays, and over 170 subdivisions (and growing), it is not surprising that real estate is one of Dasmariñas’ most important economic drivers. The city’s population has also grown 2.74% per annum from 2010 to 2015, which means more people will be needing residential properties in the years to come. Real estate developers have recognized this need and are constantly rolling out new real estate projects.
One of the well-known real estate developers who have projects in Dasmariñas is Camella. The Vista Land-owned homebuilder’s high-ticket project in the city is Camella Dasma at the Islands, where houses for sale range in price from PHP 1.35 million to PHP 6.2 million.
Another notable Dasmariñas real estate is Greenwoods, a picturesque 80-hectare development by NorthPine Land, which boasts several distinct communities; namely, Greenwood Heights, Wind Crest, Norfolk Ridge, Parkview, Primrose Place, Rosewood, and The Prime. A typical standalone house in Wind Crest, for example, is listed for PHP 4.4 million and already comes with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a parking space for one car.
Stateland’s Washington Place, a 40-hectare subdivision development in Barangay Sampaloc 2 is another location where affordable Dasmariñas house for sale can be had. This project offers houses in seven different models; a spacious four-bedroom, two-bathroom house here currently sells for just PHP 4 million.
Aside from these real estate projects, Dasmariñas boasts plenty of other subdivisions where houses, townhouses, duplexes, and traditional apartments can be had. The country’s largest banks and brokerages also offer plenty of foreclosed houses in Dasmariñas, ensuring that every buyer would find a home in the city that first their budget.
