Las Piñas is one of those Metro Manila cities that is commonly associated with being suburban, laid-back, and quiet. A locality located where Metro Manila and the Province of Cavite meet, it was only during the last decade or so when Las Piñas witnessed unprecedented growth, and when numerous real estate projects and commercial areas were built. What was once a sea-salt-producing locality in southern Metro Manila next to Bacoor and Imus, Cavite, is now a city with gleaming shopping malls, condo estates, and office towers. And very soon, Las Piñas residents will find commuting to Downtown Manila a little easier, when the LRT-1 extension project, which will extend current LRT line from Baclaran in Parañaque to Niog in Bacoor. This means travel to as far north as Balintawak can be as short as 30 minutes.
The Las Piñas of today, despite maintaining much of its old charm, is now abuzz with exciting real estate activities. Some of the country’s largest developers are busy with their own real estate projects in the city, including Alabang West—a 62-hectare Beverly Hills-inspired project by Megaworld Corporation; and Vista Land’s Camella Homes Del Rio situated inside BF Resort and offers houses for sale from PHP 1.375 to PHP 2.5 million. But aside from these new developments, there are plenty of well-known Las Piñas subdivisions where houses for sale can be had, including BF Resort, BF International Village, Casimiro Village, and Pilar Village, among dozens others.
A city with diverse real estate offerings, a homebuyer with virtually any budget can find a house for sale in Las Piñas. A newly built, modern-style five-bedroom house in BF Resort International is currently listed for PHP 9 million. This property already comes with a two-car garage and a garden. For a more affordable option, a townhouse or an apartment (row-house) unit is a great option. One particular property—a newly row-house property in Barangay Talon Dos—is currently on the market for PHP 5.3 million. Each three-bedroom/three-bathroom unit has a floor area of 190 sqm, and already comes with a parking space big enough for two cars. More affordable still is a three-bedroom, one-car garage, newly built duplex in Almanza Dos, which is currently on the market for PHP 3.8 million. The great thing about these properties is that they are all situated near the Alabang–Zapote Road, which makes them accessible to the South Luzon Expressway, Daang Hari, and the C5 Extension leading the CAVITEX.
