There is no doubt that when it comes to opening up a business and deciding on where set up shop, Pasig City is one of the places to be in.
A former rural settlement, Pasig is composed mainly of residential and industrial areas. It is located along the eastern border of Metro Manila and surrounded by nearby urban centers of Quezon City, Mandaluyong, Makati, and Marikina. Prior to the formation of Metro Manila, Pasig was the provincial capital of the nearby province of Rizal. As of the 2015 Census, the city has a population of around 755,300.
The rise of Ortigas Center in the western part of Pasig City has led to it becoming one of the major commercial and financial centers in Metro Manila, and the Philippines overall. Since the establishment of Ortigas has Pasig City been a common consideration for places to invest or operate a business, and even maintain product inventories in warehouses.
Notable places in the city include the University of Asia and Pacific, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, the headquarters of Philippine Stock Exchange, power company Meralco, and is the headquarters of major Philippine conglomerate the San Miguel Corporation.
Pasig is also known for the Frontera Verde, a privately owned development area at the corner of Ortigas Avenue and C5 Road, which features a mall, a zoo, a children’s complex, and several office buildings. Tiendesitas is within this development.
Pasig City is also home to the five-star Crowne Plaza Hotel, and the commercial hubs like Metrowalk, Capitol Commons, SM Megamall, St. Francis Square, and Robinsons Galleria. Roads to take that can lead to Pasig from other parts of Metro Manila include Ortigas Avenue, C5 Road, Shaw Boulevard, and Marcos Highway.
There are several places in the city that one can rent a warehouse in. Being located in one of the busiest cities in Metro Manila, most of these storage facilities offer businesses a central location that is easy to access from almost anywhere in the region. A quick look at what is available and one gets the impression that there is a warehouse for almost any business in the city.
A 2,228-square-meter warehouse located at Jenny's Avenue can be rented out for Php910,000 per month. This particular space is a four-level storage facility. It is firewalled and is equipped with high-gauge steel racks, air blowers across all floors, and two freight elevators that connect to all levels. It also has seven elevated loading docks as well as office areas.
If needing something a little more modest, perhaps the 500-square-meter high-ceiling warehouse along W. Bank Road would suffice, and can be leased for Php100,000 monthly.
For those who want to rent out a warehouse lot, there is one near Somerset Place. The 2,000-square-meter plot of land can be rented out for Php300,000 monthly and can be used not just for warehousing but also for setting up a commercial building or parking space.
