Called endearingly is QC or “Kyusi,” Quezon City—Metro Manila’s largest city both in terms of land area and population—is also a place to go if you are looking for great condominium properties to rent. The “City of Stars” is now home to a number of mixed-use townships and stand-alone condo developments, all of which offer properties that come in a wide range of budget and sizes.
There are a number of areas in Quezon City that feature condo projects, either from big developers or boutique or first-time builders. But when condo for rent in Quezon City is being searched for, one location immediately comes to mind: Eastwood City.
Eastwood City is a 17-hectare integrated township developed by Megaworld Corporation. Located in Barangay Bagumbayan, along E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue (C5 Road), this commercial–residential development boasts office high-rises, upscale shopping malls, restaurant strips, schools, a hospital, and lots and lots of residential condo towers. At the moment there are 19 completed high-end condo towers in Eastwood City, including Eastwood LeGrand Towers 1 and 2, Eastwood Parkview Towers 1 and 2, One Central Park, Grand Eastwood Palazzo, One Orchard Road, Eastwood Excelsior, and Olympic Heights Towers 1, 2, and 3, among others. A typical 36.5-sqm studio condo for rent in Eastwood Excelsior, for example, has a monthly rental rate of Php17,500, while a similarly sized condo unit in Eastwood LeGrand has a monthly rental rate of Php16,000.
Another important Quezon City area is Katipunan Avenue. Not only is this location popular for the many restaurants that line both its sides and the highly esteemed schools within its jurisdiction, it is also a good place to find condos for rent in this part of Quezon City. One of the most popular condo developments in Katipunan Avenue is SMDC’s Blue Residences, a 41-story condo tower comprising more than 1,500 units, ranging in size from 22 to 45 sqm. A brand-new 24-sqm fully furnished condo unit for rent here is currently listed for Php17,500 per month.
A couple of up-and-coming areas in Quezon City are those near North Triangle, specifically Ayala Land’s Vertis North and SM Prime’s North EDSA. These two locations, besides the large shopping malls they are popular of, will soon become master-planned developments that will feature condo high-rises. At present, the most popular condo in this part of Quezon City is SMDC’s Grass Residences, where a 20-sqm studio condo for rent can be had for Php14,000 per month.
Aside from these three locations, there are plenty of other places in Quezon City where one could find plenty of condos for rent. They include the junction of EDSA and Quezon Avenue, Aurora Boulevard, Timog Avenue, and E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue.
